Anastasia Beverly Hills Retro Coral is a matte liquid lipstick. The color fits its description. It is a very light coral with neutral undertones. It has both blue and yellow in it with enough white to make a beautiful light and girly coral color. Retro Coral is perfect for spring and upcoming summer. Every time I look at it, it reminds me of the sunny beach days and the ocean breeze.
This color would look absolutely stunning on blonds with fair to light skin tone, especially if you get a little tan. I am more of medium skin tone and this color looks a bit fluorescent on me, which it has a tendency to do on girls with darker skin tones.
The formula is very nice. It is relatively easy to apply, but I always end up using a lip brush. The original applicator tends to pick up a bit too much product, thus making it harder to get the color to even out on the lips. It is very pigmented and very opaque, dries to a complete matte finish within seconds. It feels like a second skin, as it is a very lightweight lipstick.
The lasting power is great as well. Lasts for 6-8 hours. The transfer is super minimal, so the reapplication is not really necessary. I love to wear it for my nights out, because it is so low maintenance. I put it on and I forget about it and my lips look great all night! Sounds good to me!:-)
The smell is not the most pleasant one. It is light, but it smells like paint or some kind of chemicals. However, it is not a huge problem, because once it is dry, it has no scent whatsoever.
Overall, I love this lipstick and would definitely repurchase.
Who can pull off: alabaster, fair and light skin tones. Would look gorgeous on blondes, as well as brunettes.
