MAC Chili is a deep darker red with strong warm, orange undertones. What I love about this lipstick, is that depending on your skin tone, it may look more brown, more orange or more red. It is a truly universal lipstick that will match a lot of skin tones. Despite the strong orange undertones, even girls with a cool skin tone can pull it off with the right makeup. It would look best against medium and olive skin tones. Girls with dark skin may notice that it looks very bright on them. However, if you don’t mind that, go for it.
MAC Chili is a matte formula lipstick and just like the rest of matte MAC’s it stays on the lips forever–6, 7 hours. It is drink and food proof, but not french kiss proof. Usually matte formula is very drying, but with Chili I did not notice any drying at all, even though I was wearing it for a long time.
The color payoff is great. One swipe will give you a very opaque, matte coverage. It goes on smoothly and does not settle in the lip lines.
Overall I love it and will definitely repurchase.
