As soon as I saw this new limited edition L’Oreal Matte liquid lipstick collection, I knew that I absolutely had to pick up at least some of the colors. So, I eneded up getting the “Nude Allude” and the “Aprodite Kiss”. The later, I will be reviewing in the end of the week. Right now, I want to bring to your attention the “Nude Allude”. I have always been a fan of the “Infallible ” line from L’Oreal, but this one had just blown my mind! The advertisement said that this liquid lipstick is not only matte, but also is not drying. I did not know whether I should believe the “not drying” part, as I actually had never experienced a matte lipstick that would not be at least somewhat drying. Well, this one not only did not leave the typical desert lips effect, but it actually turned out to be hydrating!! That is quite a first and needless to say, I fell in love instantly. It does transfer easily, so beware of that if you are going out and you know you will be eating or drinking. It lasted on me for about 5 hours, glided on lips very smoothly and the color payoff was wonderful– very opaque and full coverage with just one layer.
Despite its name, the color is not your typical nude. I would describe it as medium brown with reddish, neutral undertones. This color would be best for anyone who has medium to dark skin tones. Girls with fair skin looking for a nude lipstick should probably not pick this one up, as it might appear too dark for a nude lip against fair and alabaster skin tones.
Overall, as I already said, I am absolutely in love and recommend this to anyone who loves matte lip as much as I do. Also, if you like to wear lipliner with your lipstick, I have good news for you. The tip of the applicator is sharp enough to line your lips, so lipliner is not necessary.
